Berries make a perfect addition to breakfast. They will not only enrich its taste, but also, thanks to vitamins and minerals they contain, they will make every meal more valuable. Below we present three breakfast recipes with berries, which will be perfect for beginning of  day.

Fritters with berries

Banana fritters with berries is a reliable recipe for a quick, filling and sweet (although sugar-free) breakfast. They are simple to make, taste excellent and thanks to fruits they contain our bodies receive a great dose of natural vitamins and minerals in the morning. Both children and adults will love this recipe, so let's get started!


  • 2 eggs;
  • ripe banana;
  • 2 tablespoons of oat flakes;
  • coconut oil for frying;
  • fresh blueberries;
  • maple syrup;
  • roasted peanuts.



Put the eggs, sliced banana and the oat flakes into a bowl and stir it until it turns into a smooth mixture. Add some cut berries into the mixture. Fry the fritters on both sides, on a well heated pan until they become golden.
Pile the ready-made fritters on plates and decorate them with washed berries and peanuts. Pour some maple syrup over the top of that pile… it's really difficult to resist…

Millet pudding with strawberries

Millet is an excellent choice for breakfast or dessert. We encourage you to try out the recipe for millet pudding with strawberries. Such suggestion makes not only a valuable, but also a delicious meal.


  • approx. 1.5 glass of cooked millet;
  • approx. 1.5 glass of coconut milk;
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar;
  • a tablespoon of coconut oil;
  • strawberries;
  • a handful of coconut flakes and cashew.


Put all the ingredients, apart from fruit, into a blender and blend until it turns into a smooth and uniform mixture. Put washed and cut fruit over the top. Enjoy!

Sweet rolls with blueberries

Who doesn't like to eat a sweet roll with their hot mug of morning coffee? We have for you a recipe for home-made sweet rolls with blueberries. Although preparation takes 1.5 hour, it is worth to spend that time and take our culinary challenge, because fluffy yeast cake and juicy blueberries are a match made in heaven!

Ingredients for a cake (recipe for approx. 20 rolls):

  • 1.5-2 glasses of premium flour;
  • 1.5 glasses of coarse ground flour;
  • 1 glass of milk;
  • 1 glass of sugar;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 50 g of butter;
  • 4 dag of fresh fruit;
  • 1/3 teaspoons of salt;
  • one package of vanillin sugar.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 50 dag of fresh blueberries (frozen can also be used)
  • heaped tablespoon of potato flour;
  • 6 teaspoons of powdered sugar;

Preparation of dough:

Put crumbled yeast into warm milk and add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix everything and leave for 15 minutes to rise. Sift the flour and coarse ground flour through fine mesh sieve and add the remaining dry ingredients. Add whisked eggs and the ready leaven to the bowl with flour, mix everything thoroughly. Knead the dough manually until it stops being sticky and it starts to separate from the walls of the bowl. Add melted and cooled butter and keep on kneading. Leave under cover for about 40-60 minutes for it to rise. After that time, knead the dough once again and leave it under a cover for around 30 minutes.

Preparation of filling:

While the dough is rising you can start preparing the blueberry filling. Sprinkle powdered sugar and potato flour over washed berries and mix so that all the ingredients join together. Ready.

After 30 minutes, roll out the dough until it is approx. 1.5 cm thick and cut out circles with a glass (there should be around 20 of them). Put a tablespoon of blueberry filling on each circle and join its edges to form a ball in your hand. Place the rolls on a baking tray covered with a baking paper, remember to lave spaces between each of them. Leave the dough for 15 minutes under a cover. In the meantime heat the oven to 170°C. Bake the rolls for around 15-20 minutes until they become golden. Be careful, it's still hot!
